The next class will take place in the Fall of 2018!
The Police Citizens Academy is a free program offered by the Police Department every even year in the fall as an educational tool to show the public the role of modern law enforcement. Participants learn a variety of topics and participate in lectures, demonstrations, tours, ride-along, and hands-on exercises.
The class usually takes place for approximately 10 weeks, on Wednesday evenings from 6-9 p.m.
At graduation, each participant will receive a certificate of completion from the City of Coon Rapids.
How to Apply
Applicants can register for the program through our online registration system, which usually opens up in the spring. After you register online, you will receive additional information in the mail which will require a signature to participate in the program.
