Fire Department

City staff will continue to follow state and federal guidelines regarding gatherings and use of public facilities due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Staff will reevaluate on a week-to-week basis to determine when activities will resume.

The city of Coon Rapids is one of few cities in the Twin Cities area that has a full-time Fire Department, serving residents 24 hours a day. The Department is staffed by career and paid-on-call firefighters who staff 3 stations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical service, hazardous material accident mitigation, automobile extrications, ice rescue, fire prevention, fire inspections and education services.
